Quarantine Cool Moments

We went on a loooonnngg walk with the kids (Colette opted out) we went uptown, walked around and came home. Corinne was a smartie bringing a scooter! We've been doing walking most days, it helps us keep the antsy feelings at bay. I think getting out has been one of the healthiest things we've started. It makes us all feel better being trapped in all day!

Jill, Charlie & Henry decorated their front windows, and it made our souls happy to see it. A message of hope and togetherness as we all work our way through the long quarantine. Home made rolls (made with aunt Kelli's dough!) were delicious! We've been playing a whole bunch of UNO lately, sometimes after dinner, sometimes during lunch. It helps pass time and brings us together as a family. We've done a game or two of bananagrams, and plan on more quarantine games. 

Dodder in the Desert

There is this ORANGE stuff all over the desert. I have never seen it before. Kenny remembers it from when he wa a young kid (Like back in the 90's) it's some sort of parasite.
We asked our friend Science Mom and she told us this is an incredible species called Dodder, it is a strange and bizzare plant. It is a parasitic plant, and it attaches itself with these little tubules and pulls nutrients from a host plant. It doesn't perform photosynthesis. It's a strange phenomanon and we just had to document it. 

Breakfast in Bed

Corinne made me the best breakfast in bed. I am such a lucky momma to have this beautiful daughter. She even made a smile face out of small red hot candies. I love her thoughtfulness. 

Quarantine Cards

These days we are missing our friends and our favorite people, so we started card making, and we are loving it. Corinne got 2 cards from friends (Ava + Chelsie) and we thought to pay it forward. Thankful for the Stampin' Up Products Grandma Vonna provided to make it easy and creative. 

Odd Tooth Fairy Request

Corinne has lost *yet another* tooth! This one is a molar. She's been a boss lately and has been pulling all of her own teeth! I can't believe how tough she is! She had an unusual request written on her baggie to the toothfairy, she wanted her hair blonde! The toothfairy wrote her back some interesting notes, and left her a $5 bill for her molar. It's so sad as the kids loose their big molars, it really makes me realize how quickly they are growing up. 

Quarantine Girls Date

These ladies lifted my spirit last night. We enjoyed a drink and chatted about... well, everything. It filled my soul. Love these strong women.

Building Planter Boxes with Aaron

The greatest neighbor ever, Aaron. He is the bomb. Aaron knows we don't do many handy projects, and I had bought some plants on a whim, which all don't have a proper home now.... so he has taken his own dream project on a lot earlier than he had planned and is helping us build our boxes while he builds his own.  While he also finishes his complete master bathroom remodel, and works through the quarantine as a firefighter. He really came in to save the day with this one. 

I can't say enough what a bad-ass neighbor I've got. Aaron, you rock. 

April Fools

Corinne out did herself this year. She put on our fridge "I think the milk has gone bad" and that milk, did look wickedly bad... and she placed a cup on my bathroom counter, with a warning "open if you want to kill it" threat.... with a hilarious spider under... 

There was a prank Kallin pulled on Corinne, he put clear plastic wrap on the toilet... and the faucet! Then, as the night ended... I got her good. I drew a mustache and message on her while she slept. 

Quarantine April Fools was one for the record book!

Fire Drill!

Middle School requested we do a fire drill with our family. We did it. And we met at our meeting point, the light pole across the street. And there lives our firefighter neighbor, Aaron, who gave us a full discussion on fire safety. Killed it!

Gorgeous Corinne

This little beauty got herself all dolled up adorable. Yellow beanie, necklace, tee and wrist scrunchie, complete with blonde extension. Quarantine has us feeling trapped, and Corinne got all dressed up and adorable today. It deserves to be documented. She's too gorgeous for words. 

Walk in the Park

We took a beautiful walk. All around the neighborhood and to the duck pond. Corinne saw the HUGE coy fish jump twice for her. It was special. These white ducks became our friends and we facetimed Colette to say Hi. Kallin and Kenny walked together and we chatted.
